Residential Mixuse

This project cultivates historic housing precedents from Oscar Niemeyer, Tadao Ando, and SANAA on a site on the north side of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Figures of Habitation emphasizes the characteristics of iconic housing projects and the ideologies behind the architect and their respective project to elevate the ribbon, the bar, and matchbox. Commercial and public-use are proposed for the ground floor, bigger residential units for the mid-level, and student housing for the levels above.
